NOTICE Lab
Housed in the University of Maryland's Benjamin Building and part of the Center for Mathematics Education, NOTICE works to promote a seeds perspective on learning that considers the origins of student's mathematical ideas and supports the development of multimodal teacher noticing through teacher education coursework and professional development for in-service teachers.
Our Research Methods
We have a qualitative focus, using techniques such as video analysis and interaction analysis to carefully study video recordings with students, teachers, and teacher candidates from multiple perspectives.
